  1. During DavidΓÇÖs two-year stint in the
  2. Navy, he didnΓÇÖt play much basketball.
  3. He was stationed at a base in Kings
  4. Point, Georgia, from June of 1987 to
  5. May of 1989. The only competitive
  6. basketball he played during that time
  7. was with the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team.
  8. The team came in third in the Olympic
  9. competition, taking the bronze medal.
  10. David was a little rusty, and he averaged
  11. only 12.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per
  12. game. David also played for the gold
  13. medal-winning U.S. Olympic basketball
  14. team (the "Dream Team") at the 1992
  15. Olympics.
